University of Houston Downtown biology students partnered with Beta Academy Champions after-school program to encourage and inspire scholars to be the next generation of scientists.


The biology students did a 15-minute presentation on DNA isolation and then allowed scholars to perform DNA isolation from strawberries.

This is not the first time Champions has partnered with Beta Academy. In January, they taught our 4th grade scholars about computer programming. If you missed it, you can read about it here:
